NIGHT RATING

 

Night rating VFRN(A) entitles pilots of airplanes or TMGs to operate night flights under visual flight rules (VFR). This qualification is an additional entry on the pilot’s licence.

• Our training organization is certified by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
• You can register for training individually, there is no need to join a training group.
• We conduct training in two languages ​​- Lithuanian and English, so participants can choose the language they want.

Requirements to start training:
• PPL(A) or LAPL(A) license with a valid airplane class or type rating*;
• Valid assessment of English language proficiency level (if training is conducted in English language);
• For PPL (A) holders, valid at least 2nd class Medical Certificate and shall be colour safe (MED.A.030.(e));
• For LAPL (A), holders valid at least LAPL Medical Certificate and shall be colour safe (MED.A.030.(e)).

* Before the training at night, LAPL holders shall have completed the basic instrument flight training.

The training program consists of two stages:
• Theoretical training – 2 hours.
• Practical training – 5 flight hours.

Theoretical training stage
Theoretical training covers the essential information required to operate an aircraft safely at night under visual flight rules (VFR). The training ensures that pilots understand the specifics and challenges of night flying and how to effectively overcome them.

Practical training stage
Practical training consists of a minimum of 5 hours of flight training at night, in accordance with PART-FCL regulations, and includes:
• Traffic circuit flights at the aerodrome / airport;
• Cross-country flights;
• Emergency situations and procedures.

Practical training is carried out with aircraft Cessna 150/152.
